Durango's first Grain-to-Glass Distillery since Prohibition.
Through our products and cocktail offerings we enjoy sharing stories of Durango’s vibrant past while becoming a part of Durango’s history. Hard work and ingenuity are qualities rooted within Durango’s threadwork; those same qualities show through in our spirits and cocktails.
We have lived in Durango for more than 20 years and we consider this special town, where we have raised our 15-year old twin boys, our forever home. We look forward to becoming a mainstay in downtown Durango and to contributing to our dynamic business community.
Our Tasting Room offers craft cocktails featuring our Soiled Doves Vodka and Mayday Moonshine. We use fresh herbs and locally sourced ingredients to offer a full array of cocktails.
The term “Soiled Doves”, is a term that was used in Victorian times to refer to the Ladies of the Night. The Soiled Doves of Durango contributed greatly to the founding of our fine town. We pay homage to the Fancy Ladies on the back of our vodka label.
Mayday Moonshine is named after Mayday Mine which lies in the La Plata mountains just west of Durango. Prohibition was passed in Colorado in 1916 (four years before the rest of the country) and at the same time the silver market took a crash causing a lot of mines to close. Moonshiners then often hid their stills in abandoned mines and made moonshine out of the mines.
